1989 Ford Bronco XLT
I try to live life with no regrets, but, this is one of the few I have. This was my father's Bronco, which I had a love affair with. "Who was your first love?" Billy Bob. Redneck high, 9 mpg, and a 351. I miss this vehicle. Every winter, every summer, I just plain miss him. I didn't buy him at the time because I'd just purchased my W/T, and at 18 I didn't have the scratch. I should have taken a loan, gone to the Mafia, etc. Shoulda coulda woulda...
So, this is a picture that appeared in my high school yearbook layout- me and my ride. Did I mention how much I loved this vehicle? I learned how to drive with him, I took my drivers test on him, I went to the prom in him... the 351 ROARED, and there was no such thing as a lack of power. Four wheel drive... Sure, on the highway you could practically WATCH the gas gauge plummet. This is why no one EVER road for free with me. Who could afford it?
This was turning 100K, even though the pictures aren't clear, the first one is 99999.9, and the second is 000000.0. That was one of my happiest nights, on my way to see my friend Tracy, riding with a camera in my lap, looking down every few seconds. Did I mention I miss this vehicle?
