Eileen was
a 21st birthday present, to me, from me. She was a eBay car. I didn't
buy her on eBay, but I did find her there, and went out to Rhode Island
to see her. Her name Eileen is after the Dexy's Midnight Runners one
hit, "Come on Eileen"- this being the first song I ever heard
in her during my ride home with her. I loved this car, and only sold
her as the down payment for Vic. I have always been a huge fan of the
throttle body on the Lumina Euros, they have a sound of their own. This
car was an AMAZING back roads driver, and was the only front wheel drive
car I've ever found nice to drive. Hell, she was fast, she sounded good,
had a tach, had a spoiler, and she was under $5000. That is also one
of the nicest steering wheels I've had. However, the heating controls
are so far from the drivers seat, I had to remove my seat belt to turn
on the A/C.

I bought
Eileen as releif for
W/T. I know, I bought a car for my truck so I wouldn't drive him
so much. That is how sick I am. I had her a little less than a year.
The only thing wrong with her was that the remote truck latch never
worked. I didn't put one cent into this car. The only real mod I did
was to remove the ghastly front license plate bracket *note this is
illegal in the state of CT* and to paint around the bow tie red. I only
painted it after closing the hood one day and the emblame falling on
my foot. I figured I had to take it apart to put it back on, why not
make it better? As for the plate bracket, who the HELL puts a plate
bracket on that nice, pointed, aerodynamic front end?

I sold her
for exactly what I bought her for to a family that had already had two
Lumina Euros and wanted another. I miss the car somewhat, but I'm sure by now she would have
needed some work.
It was also the first vehicle I had that didn't have a CB in it, and
that had perfect factory air conditioning.
