This is
Vicki, who was traded to Collins Ford for the downpayment on Eleanor. She was bought from my friend Bill- I've always wanted
a Crown Vic, for the whole "cop" experience, and also because
I don't LIKE small cars. I feel unsafe and claustrophobic in them. I
sold Eileen
for the down payment. This is the most powerful sedan I've ever had
the pleasure of driving. I called him the "yacht" for
the fact that she floats and is impossible to parallel park. He had
every option except 3- no sunroof, no digital dash, and no leather.
I feel like money driving this car. And she complimented my W/T
very nice.

I didn't
changed
much on her, given that there aren't a lot of things to do with this car outside the normal cop car rhelm. That is
a 4.6 V8 you see. And no, it wasn't THAT bad on gas- between 19-21 MPG-
making her the most economical car I've owned. Yes, Amanda's idea of
an economy car is a Crown Victoria. This is also my first luxury car.
And I say first, because some day I'll own another one.

So, it is a LX and not a P71... Who says you can't have fun? Ask anyone who has driven a Crown Vic, and you know the respect you command. I've had A LOT of people ask me if I'm a cop, if my boyfriend is a cop, etc. Best $7 I ever spent... Thank you eBay! |

Here it is on the car, right next to the truck key hole. I've seen some P71's (P71 is the Ford number for the police interceptor package) I've seen some vic's with it on the left, some with it on the right. I had no choice, the left hand side says "Crown Victoria LX", as does the two front quarter panels, the dash, and the steering wheel, etc. In case you ever get confused and forget what it is you are driving apparently. |

Other than that, I had to lose the stock cassette player after a month of torture and get a stock CD player. I had priced out some nice Kenwood systems, but, I couldn't justify paying $400 for a little box in the dash. $200 is my limit. The car has stock BOSE speakers, so, I'm certainly not touching those. I sent her off March 12, 2005, and she was resold before I had even done the paperwork on the new Mustang, Eleanor. |
